Bondage & Physical Restraints
Goal: Understanding safe bondage practices, nerve safety, and physical restraint protocols.
1. Safety Principles of Bondage
- Nerve & Circulation Protection: Never bind tightly across nerve pathways (radial, ulnar, brachial plexus) or joint bends. Regularly check fingers/toes for warmth, color, and sensation.
- Quick-Release Knots & Safety Shears: Always keep EMT shears or safety shears within arm's reach. Never leave a bound partner unattended.
- Material Selection: Use soft cotton, jute, silk, or padded leather. Avoid thin nylon or cords that can cause friction burns or cut into skin.
